Limerick-based ticketing platform Eventmaster receives €4m investment from BGF

BGF, Ireland's largest growth capital investor has announced a €4m injection into ticketing platform, Eventmaster and will take a minority stake in the Limerick-based firm.
Founded in 2010 by its current chief executive John Cleary, Eventmaster provides ticketing, membership and fundraising software solutions to sports events, governing bodies, charities and event organisers.
The company provides ticketing technology for more than 3,000 events annually with 1.5 million tickets sold each year, BGF said.
Following the €4m injection, Eventmaster said it would accelerate growth with investment in sales and marketing, as well as increasing the team and expanding its platform across the UK and Ireland.
The Limerick company currently provides ticketing technology for the Dublin Marathon, Cork City Marathon, Ring of Beara Cycle and Tour de Connemara, among others.
Established in Ireland in 2017, BGF is the country's largest growth capital investor focusing on acquiring minority positions in firms with "significant growth potential."
As part of the deal, there will be two additions to the board, including Fergal Mooney who will join Eventmaster as Non-Executive Chairman, and Joe Higgins, who will join as a director.
