Yuno makes second electricity price cut within a month

The new rate of 27.38 cent (including VAT) per kWh is available from today.

New electricity supplier Yuno Energy has announced the second cut to its electricity price in less than a month.

The new rate is 5.4% lower than the previous rate and is fixed for 12 months.

Yuno Energy is run by the firm behind Prepaypower, the pay-as-you-go provider and entered the Irish market in August.

The new rate of 27.38 cents (including VAT) per kWh is available from today.

Yuno CEO Cathal Fay, Yuno CEO said wholesale markets have decreased recently, but are still volatile. "The new rate we’re announcing today might be particularly appealing to those that want to be sure they can lock in the benefits of recent price reductions.”

There have been a steady stream of price reductions by most utility providers as they reverse some of the hikes they imposed in the wake of the war in Ukraine when the wholesale prices of energy soared.
