Grocery price inflation at the start of this month was running at 10.5%, compared to the same period last year, which is down slightly from the 11.3% recorded in September.

Current high levels of grocery price inflation means the average 12-week grocery spend in Q3 for Irish consumers could rise by €176 unless they change their shopping habits, market research firm Kantar has said.

According to the latest data from the company, grocery price inflation at the start of this month was running at 10.5%, compared to the same period last year, which is down slightly from the 11.3% recorded in September.
