Fiona McNulty, partner, and Brian Horkan, head of health and prosecutions, with Mason Hayes Curran.
Law firm Mason Hayes & Curran has expanded its health and prosecutions team with the promotion of Fiona McNulty to partner.
From Grange in Cork, Fiona joined the firm in 2019. She advises technology companies and other large organisations on their obligations in criminal and regulatory matters.
She has criminal law expertise from both a prosecution and defence perspective. She advises on complex legal challenges, including responding to search warrants, ‘dawn raid’ inspections and investigations by An Garda Síochána.
Brian Horkan, head of health and prosecutions at MH&C, said: “Fiona's promotion to partner is a clear reflection of her exceptional skill set and dedicated approach to her practice. Her expert handling of complex legal matters further strengthens our team and enhances our ability to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions."
Fiona advises technology and fintech companies. She also brings expertise in the areas of wardship and assisted decision-making, and sits on the Decision Support Service panel of decision-making representatives. She acts for the HSE in Mental Health Act applications for minors.
Fiona said: “My work covers two very different client types but with similar needs. I work closely with corporate clients when they receive warrants, witness summons or other similar legal requests. I also advise clients in the healthcare sector to avoid disputes where possible, but also to prepare and present cases in court when needed.”
Fiona is a graduate of TCE. She sits on the Council of the Law Society of Ireland, on the board of the Irish Family Planning Association, and is a long-standing committee member of the Irish Women Lawyer’s Association.
