Heineken to replace 100,000 stale kegs of beer, stout and cider

The Heineken brewery in Cork has produced its first batch of beer for distribution ahead of the reopening of some pubs, hotels and restaurants at the end of June.

Heineken said it has begun the process of collecting and refunding 100,000 kegs of beer, stout and cider sitting in cellars and dispensing taps of shuttered bars across the country, the equivalent of 10 million pints.
