Coronavirus outbreak hits rate payments to Dublin City Council

The council's finance department says the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors have been significantly impacted.

Rates paid to Dublin City Council are down €20m for March, as the coronavirus outbreak hits the local authority's cash flow.

Councillor Daithí Doolan says the council faces a very difficult future, with a further €22m in arrears owed from 2019.
