Penneys owner blames 'unseasonable weather' for drop in sales

The owner of Penneys is blaming the weather for a fall in its annual sales.

They were down 2.1% in the year to mid-September.

Its stores in the eurozone suffered most.

The retailer's chief executive has said trading in northern Europe was affected by three periods of "unseasonable weather".
