Olympic medalist Cian O’Connor’s horse breeding company last year cleared profits of €1.65m and is on course for another bumper year.

Last weekend, Mr O’Connor who won a bronze medal winner at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, accepted the ‘team of the year’ award at the RTÉ Sport Awards, on behalf of the Irish showjumping team, which won gold at August’s European Championships for the first time in 16 years.
