UK gig economy row as Deliveroo calls for shake-up of employment laws

Delivery firm Deliveroo has sparked a fresh row over the status of workers in the UK's gig economy after calling on the government to update legislation.

The company said changes would give self--employed people greater security while maintaining the flexibility they want.
