Snapchat company goes public

Snapchat's parent company is going public.

The social network, famous for its instantly disappearing photo messages, has filed papers to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Snap Inc. is looking for up to $3bn in an initial public offering.

The App was created in 2012 by Evan Spiegel and can now boast 158 million daily users.
