Irish-based banana and fruit distribution company, Fyffes, has received a takeover offer from a Japanese trading company, Sumitomo Corporation.

Irish-based banana and fruit distribution company, Fyffes, has received a takeover offer from a Japanese trading company, Sumitomo Corporation.

Sumitomo has made a cash offer of just over €751m for Fyffes.
