Avoca to create 80 jobs at new store in Meath

Irish retailer Avoca will create 80 jobs through the opening of a new store in Dunboyne, County Meath.

The move marks the first expansion of the company following its acquisition by Aramark in December of last year.

3 million euro is being invested in the new store, which is scheduled to open in the autumn.

The Avoca brand encompasses cafes, food halls, fashion, and artisan craft products.

Simon Pratt MD of Avoca says there may be a future for the group to expand.

"We plan to do one or two more stores in Ireland but we're actively then looking at the UK for the three year time horizon."
