Dublin Airport has just had its best year for passenger numbers

Dublin Airport recorded its busiest ever year in 2015, with 25 million passengers travelling through the airport.

That is 3.3 million more people than in 2014 - a rise of 15%.

The increase is largely down to 22 new routes at the airport along with extra capacity on 40 existing routes.

Dublin Airport Authority are in the process of hiring 350 new staff to deal with the increasing passenger numbers, and are reviewing plans to build a new runway at Terminal 1.
