C&C to cut over 100 jobs in Tipperary
A cost-cutting review at C&C in Tipperary is resulting in the loss of over 100 jobs.
The water-bottling plant in Borrisoleigh, which employs 140 staff, is one of two bases that will shut.
It is believed that Borrisoleigh will retain some warehousing and storage facilities.
However, the company is trying to cut costs by €15m a year.
The other operation that is being shut down is in Somerset in England.
The shutting of both plants could see more than 260 jobs losses.
