IDA confident of further growth in Ireland's tech sector
The IDA has said it is confident that web and technological companies here will continue to expand into the future.
The agency which works to promote Ireland as a destination for foreign firms said the technology sector was going from strength to strength.
Earlier today, the social network Linkedin held an event to highlight 100 vacancies at its European Headquarters in Dublin.
When filled, the positions in the areas of marketing, sales and data analytics will bring Linkedin's Dublin workforce to 1,000.
Executive director of IDA Mary Buckley said: "We got in at a very early stage to target these companies, when they were very small. They're now in fast-growing mode because we're becoming a digital economy.
"That will continue into the future, so this is sustainable employment that is moving to the cutting edge."
