Entrepreneurs thin on the ground in Ireland, EY Ireland survey finds
There is a serious shortage of entrepreneurs in Ireland, according to a survey from EY Ireland.
The new report shows Ireland struggling to attract and retain entrepreneurs.
According to the survey, more than half said it was difficult to attract talented people to their firms.
Spokesperson Kevin McLoughlin said small businesses were up against the bigger firms.
"Things that will help those businesses to succeed will be things like mentorship, having the right skills across all the parts of a newly fledged business and, ultimately, government support that will help these businesses to scale and attract key management and help them to grow."
