Discount retailer Dealz is to open its 50th Irish store this month, and announced today that it plans a further investment of €6m in new stores next year.

Discount retailer Dealz is to open its 50th Irish store this month, and announced today that it plans a further investment of €6m in new stores next year.

Dealz will open its 50th store on Thomas Street in Dublin city centre with almost 5000sq ft of selling space and 25 new jobs, bringing the total number of jobs created in Ireland to date to over 1,500.

An additional 200 temporary jobs are being created in the run-up to Christmas.

Dealz, part of the Poundland group, has 17 product categories including DIY, Stationery, health and beauty, food and drink, baby and seasonal events, and also stocks some well-known brands.
