Tayto is now owned by Germans
Tayto will now be owned by a German company after the founder Ray Coyle sold his shares.
Largo foods founder Coyle, one of Ireland's most successful businessmen, established the company which owns King, Hunky Dory and Perri as well as Tayto 33 years ago.
Largo foods bought the Tayto brand in 2006 for €68m from C&C.
Coyle will sell his 25% stake to Germany's Intersnack, but will stay on as chairman and a director at Largo foods until at least 2017.
His main business interest, Ashbourne's Tayto Park, has just hit 730,000 visitors for 2015 which is up from 450,000 visitors in 2013.
