Barclays 'recovering' from technical issues

Barclays says its systems are 'recovering' from technical issues which stopped some UK customers making payments.

The problem began yesterday, and has been blamed on routine maintenance scheduled to coincide with the clocks going back.

Barclays insists it was an internal issue, though, and not the result of a cyber attack.

Concerns about cyber security are running high after hackers stole data from TalkTalk last week.
