Pivotal to create 130 new jobs in Dublin and Cork

130 new jobs have been announced in Dublin and Cork.

Digital software company Pivotal, which is based in Silicon Valley in the US, has announced a €100m expansion plan for Ireland.

The jobs will be officially announced later by the Taoiseach Enda Kenny and includes a new Pivotal Labs office in Dublin.

The positions will be in software engineering, technical support, operational and general and administrative roles.

Speaking on the jobs announcement Kevin Flanagan, General Manager for Ireland, Pivotal said:

“The continued rapid development of Dublin’s tech scene makes it the perfect location for further investment by Pivotal.

"It is a hotbed of talent, innovation and exciting ideas that we are looking forward to playing a central role within. Pivotal Labs will quickly become a software innovation hub for Dublin’s largest enterprises in all industries and will help transform them into great software companies.”

The company has said it marks a significant commitment to Ireland, describing the country as one of the world's most important technology hubs.
