Irish airspace saw an increase of over 5% in traffic during the third quarter of the year, when compared to 12 months previously.

There was an average of 1,767 flights per day in Irish airspace, including almost 750 at Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports.

The busiest day during the three months was September 4 with 1,877 flights in Irish airspace, according to the Irish Aviation Authority.
