The world economy is recovering but is still fragile and “faces some downside risks”, according to International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Christine Lagarde.

In an online press conference, Ms Lagarde described the US as “a strong performer” and China as “resilient” despite a recent drop in stock prices in the country.
