The New York-based company that owns dating websites Match.com, OkCupid and Tinder has bought Canadian dating website PlentyOfFish for US $575 million.

Match Group chief executive Sam Yagan said the company was attracted to PlentyOfFish’s consistent growth and planned to integrate the Vancouver-based firm’s mobile app into its existing family of digital and online dating services.
