Enterprise Ireland launches 'bring them home' tech competition

Enterprise Ireland is launching a new competition aimed at bringing the Irish diaspora and their tech companies home.

The fund will see 10 firms awarded €50,000 to grow their business.

Those wishing to apply must meet strict criteria.

John O'Dea from Enterprise Ireland said the scheme was aimed at entrepreneurs with an early-stage tech business proposition.

"You can’t have more than €100,000 invested in the business and it can’t have revenues of more than €50,00 in the previous year," he said.

"We will give the best 10 (businesses) €50,00 to, hopefully, grow a business here."
