The Central Bank has revealed details of the holders of Irish Government bonds.

Some 58.9% of bonds (€73bn) are held by non-residents, while those owned by Irish people are mainly held by credit institutions and the Central Bank of Ireland.

The value of outstanding Government bonds was over €124bn at the end of May. 11.7% are due to mature in less than three years.

This was an increase of €789m from the end of April.
