Intel launching training initiative at Leixlip base

Tech giant Intel is launching a new training initiative at its Irish campus in Leixlip, Co Kildare.

It is working with FIT, which specialises in IT training and recruitment, on the new programme.

They will encourage people to engage in further education and training programmes with a view to embarking on a career in a number of sectors, including production of computer parts and chips, bio-pharma, bulk chemicals, packaged goods and electrical components.

The first of the new training programmes will get underway in September.
