New media-ownership guidelines launched

Communications Minister Alex White has published new guidelines on media ownership.

They apply to print, online and broadcast media and include a "public value" test for future mergers.

The guidelines set out a threshold for share holdings, saying a 20% share will generally constitute a significant interest.
