Greece two weeks from new crisis, warns finance minister

The Greek finance minister has warned that his country could face a fresh cash crisis within two weeks.

Yanis Varoufakis said it was "terribly urgent" for Greece to receive the final part of its €240bn bailout.

He gave the warning at an EU meeting where ministers said Greece still needs to do more.

Greece’s eurozone creditors yesterday welcomed “progress” in the crunch talks over the country’s future in the single currency – but failed once again to release the €7.2bn bailout payment the country desperately needs to meet its liabilities.
