Tesco enjoys first sales growth in a year

Under-fire supermarket Tesco has received some much-needed cheer after figures showed its sales grew for the first time in a year.

The UK’s biggest grocer lifted sales by 0.3% in the 12 weeks to February 1 - its first rise since last January after it attracted an additional 236,000 shoppers into its stores, latest till roll figures from Kantar Worldpanel reveal.
