Facebook’s results have beaten profit and revenue forecasts for the seventh quarter in a row as the firm continues to win more mobile advertising revenue as users shift to using the site on smartphones.

The world’s biggest online social network said advertising revenue jumped 53% to $3.59bn for the fourth quarter – with mobile advertising revenue representing 69% of that total.
