Alan Rusbridger will step down as editor in chief of the Guardian after 20 years next summer, he said today.

Alan Rusbridger will step down as editor in chief of the Guardian after 20 years next summer, he said today.

He said he would take over as chairman of the Scott Trust which owns Guardian Media Group.
