New vehicles up 12% in November

The number of new cars licensed last month increased by just over 12% compared to the same month last year.

1,465 new private cars were licensed in November - an increase of 12.1%.

Renault was the most popular make registered last month, followed by Volkswagen, Dacia and Opel.

Across the year Volkswagon was the most popular.

The number of new goods vehicles licensed in November was just over a thousand - up 36.5% from November of last year.
