Web Summit to attract more than 22,000 people to Dublin

Around 22,000 people will arrive in Dublin over the next three days to attend the 2014 Web Summit.

Participants from 109 countries, including 700 investors and 1,300 journalists, will attend the event which is the largest gathering of starts-ups in the World.

The summit is expected to generate over €100m for the Irish economy, according to figures from Failte Ireland.

It will bring together speakers including the founder of Paypal and the first investor in Facebook, Peter Thiel, the founder and CEO of Dropbox Drew Houston and actress and entrepreneur, Eva Longoria, among others.
