Payment company boss Roden wins Entrepreneur of the Year
The CEO of Ding payment services Mark Roden has been named the EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
Roden founded the company in 2006. It now transfers over $1m daily to mobile phones in emerging markets.
He was also named the winner of the International category and will go on to represent Ireland at the World Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in Geneva.
Speaking before accepting his award, Roden said he was thrilled by the experience.
"This competition has exceeded my expectations, because it has branded all of us, globally, now," he said.
"It's such a fantastic thing to be part of this."
