Small business leaders hoped for more direct measures in Budget

Chambers Ireland, the country's largest business network, said it is disappointed that there were no direct measures in Budget 2015 to help businesses.

Chief Executive at Chambers Ireland, Ian Talbot, said it will take time for his members to feel the impact of the boost in spending power for consumers.

"Tax reductions are good news fro consumers, but that consumer boost will take sometime to come through. So what we would have liked to have seen are more measures specifically to encourage small business and entrepreneurs," he said.

"Some of the funding that's been put aside for Enterprise Ireland and Science Foundation Ireland could [have] been allocated to a small business packages."
