Prices slightly higher last month compared to September 2013

Average consumer prices on average were 0.3% higher in September compared with September 2013, according to official figures released today.

The most notable changes in the year, as measured by the Consumer Price Index, were increases in Education (+4.5%), Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco (+4.1%), Restaurants & Hotels (+2.8%) and Miscellaneous Goods & Services (+2.5%).
