Conference aims to encourage more women to pursue business careers
Over 250 of the country's top businesswomen have gathered the Women Mean Business Awards in Dublin this morning.
The theme of this year's awards is 'Think Big - Live The Vision' - and encouraging expansion and export opportunities.
Dublin's Start-Up Commissioner Niamh Bushnell says that vision should be used to encourage more women to pursue careers in business.
"Recognise the value of that network and constantly try to use it to help other people to get to where they're going to, to share knowledge that you have that other people may be able to really leverage and take value from," she said.
"That's the really fun and easy piece to do - is just constantly say: 'I think I can help you with something' or 'I think I have a colleague who can share an insight with you'.
"That kind of thing is really easy to do."
