Aer Lingus passenger numbers rise in September
Aer Lingus saw a 5.3% rise in its passenger numbers last month.
The airline said the total number of passengers it carried in September, including Aer Lingus Regional, was 1.041 million, a 5.3% rise when compared to September 2013.
Aer Lingus saw its long-haul traffic increase by 27.8% to 138,000 passengers, up from 108,000 in the same month last year, while its short-haul traffic also went up last month by 1.2% from 775,000 in 2013 to 784,000.
It means their passenger load factor for the month was up 1.6% to 83.3% compared to 81.7% in September 2013.
Total Aer Lingus passenger numbers for the first nine months of the year are up 4.5% to 8.692 million
