Huge jump in bookings for New York shopping trips

The Irish are spending big again, if bookings for New York shopping trips are anything to go by.

Bookings for pre-Christmas retail therapy in Manhattan have increased massively on last year, according to one of New York's best-known hoteliers.

The Fitzpatrick Manhattan and Fitzpatrick Grand Central hotels says there has already been a 20% increase in bookings for Christmas 2014.
