150 jobs in small food businesses announced

150 jobs are to be created in food businesses.

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has launched the second Food Academy Start Programme at the National Ploughing Championships.

It's a joint initiative by Bord Bia, SuperValu and Local Enterprise Offices to help small food producers grow their business from start up to their first retail listing.

The organisers believe nearly 200 small food businesses will benefit from the programme.
