Recent air disasters - like the loss of the two Malaysia Airlines flights - have cost insurer Lloyd's of London more than £360m.

But the world's oldest insurance market says its profits rose 21% in the first half of this year, £1.67 billion.

The company has warned that prices and terms and conditions of new aviation policies "will need to reflect recent risk exposures".
