Fitch upgrades Ireland's credit rating to A-
Fitch has upgraded Ireland's credit rating.
The ratings agency has changed the nation's status to A- from BBB+ with a stable outlook.
Ireland now enjoys A rating status with two of the three major ratings agencies Fitch and Standard and Poors.
The NTMA Chief Executive John Corrigan says the upgrade underpins the already strong investor sentiment towards Ireland - and will widen the potential investor base for Irish Government bonds.
