UPC Ireland have announced a strong performance from their digital TV, high-speed Internet and voice subscriptions in their second quarter results today.

UPC Ireland have announced a strong performance from their digital TV, high-speed Internet and voice subscriptions in their second quarter results today.

The firm saw an increase of 7,600 to 1,091,600 subscriptions.

This is an increase of 70,100 subscriptions compared to the same quarter a year ago.

More than a quarter of all their digital TV customers use Horizon

Carol Grennan, CFO of UPC Ireland said: "We’re making excellent progress through our emphasis on product leadership with world class programming, great new services and value for money for our customers.

"We’re constantly enhancing the range of content and choice available for our customers. This is reflected in the high take-up of our Horizon TV home entertainment platform which has achieved over 85,000 subscriptions and this now represents more than a quarter of our digital cable customers."
