Applegreen announces 360 jobs in six new stations

Applegreen is to create 360 new full-time jobs through the development of six service stations over the next two years.

The announcement comes as the first of the new motorway facilities is officially opened on the M11 in Wicklow today, employing 60 staff.

The additional sites will be located in Birdhill, Co Tipperary, Swords, Co Dublin and Lemybrien in Co. Waterford, which is currently under construction.

"It's the first of six new motorway sites … in additon to that, we're creating 250 construction jobs to build out the sites," said Joe Barrett, Director of Applegreen.

The development is part of a €30m investment by the forecourt retailer.
