80 jobs for Waterford in e-smoking company

80 new jobs are set to come on stream in Waterford as Irish e-cigarette company "Healthier smoker" is to launch its new facility.

The firm, which produces organic e-liquids to help people quit smoking, has announced it is expanding its Irish operations, with the establishment of a state of the art manufacturing facility at Six Cross Roads.

The new plant will see the immediate creation of 80 new jobs in manufacturing, retail and distribution.

The company also claims it "sees potential" for the creation of up to 1,000 jobs within a year.

"We are leading the way worldwide in terms of superior certifiable quality and safety," company spokesperson Stephen Ryan said.

"Even the Chinese are buying from us in preference to their own manufacturers. The fact that we have a 95% retention rate amongst people trialling the liquids speaks for itself and the response from customers certainly attests to it."
