Live Register falls in June

There were 4,400 fewer people on the Live Register last month, according to latest figures from the Central Stastistics Office, bringing the number of people signing on to 386,200.

The unemployment rate last month was 11.6% - down from 11.7% the previous month.

The number of long-term unemployed dropped slightly as well, with an annual decrease of 4% in the number of long-term claimants.
