A total of 380 new jobs have been announced for Galway, Athlone and Dublin.
The software firm SAP is creating 60 new research & development roles and 200 new technology support roles in Dublin and Galway by the end of this year.
Ericsson has announced over 120 software developers and programme manager positions for Dublin and Athlone.
The IT company will begin recruitment immediately, but Ericsson’s managing director Traoloch Collins admits sometimes it can be hard to find people with the right skills.
"Certainly it can be difficult," he said.
"In the past we have always managed to fill the roles, I hope we'll do that again.
"I think from an Ericsson perspective we have an active programme with universities and schools in Ireland to try and encourage people to work in the ICT sector, and we do see the Government continuing to encourage graduates and universities to develop ICT programmes.
"So hopefully that will continue and we won't have a problem, but it is something that we need to watch."
