Moran to meet PAC despite announcing resignation
The General Secretary of the Department of Finance, John Moran, will meet the PAC today despite the announcement of his resignation yesterday.
The Finance Minister Michael Noonan accepted the decision by John Moran to step down, after two years in the job.
Mr Moran played a leading role in recapitalising the banking sector.
The Department of Finance's Appropriation Account are on the agenda of the committee.
Chairman of the Committee John McGuinness said the Department of Finance exceeded its budget deficit target of 7.5% in 2013 by achieving a rate of 7.2%.
