Index shows huge increase in planning applications

There has been a massive increase in planning applications and the number of residential building projects which started in the first two months of the year.

Planning applications went up by 21% while the National Housing Construction Index shows an increase of 192% in residential building starts.

However the rise, which was recorded by Link2Plans, is from an extremely low base.
