Up to 500 new jobs have been announced for Belfast.

The positions are being created by accountancy giant Ernst and Young at its city centre offices.

The various roles include consultancy, human resources, and finance and will be phased in over the next four years.

The firm currently employs 145 people in Belfast, and it is estimated the new jobs will bring £19m into the local economy.

Meanwhile, International technology company Diona has opened its global headquarters in Dublin city centre.

40 new jobs in software engineering, services and global business support will be created over the next year to 18 months.
